At Lapwing we provide individual learning programmes for young people who have complex barriers to learning. We help transform our students futures by keeping the door to learning open and designing the most inspiring, individual and appropriate plans for each young person.

Funded by the Learning and Skills Council, but operating independently from local and national education authorities and government, we provide the support, information and advice needed for our students to take learning forward and reach their potential.

We are working with a growing number of partners to provide quality learning to realise individual aspirations and goals.

Lapwing heard about digital playdays through their partnership with Aldeburgh Music. Digital playdays offers tailored 1:1 training in a huge range of digital arts which meets the needs of some of Lapwings students interested in pursuing careers in the arts. They offer flexible training times which also meets the diverse and complex needs of our students and allows us to tailor their programmes even more effectively.

The studio is an ideal environment for our students, resembling a professional design studio but relaxed and quiet, they can work uninterrupted at their own pace and with professional experts. All this enables the maximum.

I would recommend digital playdays because they offer professional quality training to meet the needs of our lapwing students who might otherwise be unable to develop skills in digital arts due to their complex needs. Often other training providers either don’t use experts with students with complex needs or the environment is unsuitable.

“We are very pleased to be able to work with Lapwing, they are so passionate about providing the best learning opportunities and truly nurturing their students talents. We feel very fortunate to be in a position where we can offer such a flexible learning programme and we are thrilled to see the fantastic work the students produce.”
